Your sailing journey starts here as you learn the fundamental skills of sailing and are introduced to the fun of dinghy sailing in a safe and supportive environment. As you master the fundamental sailing skills, you will become equipped to sail your dinghy on your own.

Sailing is a family friendly sport. At MBSC we can provide the location, infrastructure and support required to get you and your whole family involved.

After 4 weeks of training participants will become accredited with Australian Sailing Dinghy Course Start Sailing 1&2

We encourage sailors to participate in club sailing after course completion by hiring a Pacer and joining in club racing on Sunday afternoons. Further development is available upon request.

Frequently asked questions:

What should  I wear?

With the majority of the course spent in the water, we highly recommend that participants wear clothing that can get wet. We recommend board shorts, a long sleeve rash top, a spray jacket and a wetsuit for cold days. We also recommend you bring a change of clothes and a towel for afterwards.

We recommend enclosed shoes/booties and a hat at all times on the water.
