Hire a Sailing Dinghy on Perth’s Swan River
On selected Sundays our Pacer dinghies are available to hire, perfect for teen and adults who know how to sail and want to spend some time out on the water.
Have a leisurely cruise to practice your skills, bring the family for a picnic or take in the gorgeous view of the city. Don’t have a crew or skipper? We can even help you find one!
For more ambitious sailors, we offer far more than your average Perth boat hire experience. Join in on the fun of Pacer Racer Sunday and engage in some friendly competition on our short course, under the guidance of a rescue boat. You’re welcome to join the seniors and juniors upstairs in the bar after your session – ready to hear the results and show off to your mates with a MBSC flag.
Join us regularly and you may be in the running to win the official MBSC Pacer Racer Cup!
Mounts Bay Sailing Club Dinghy Hire Costs
We offer an extremely affordable dinghy hire option, at $30 for one session or $100 for four sessions.
This initiative also provides a great opportunity for new adult members to transition into the club from a sailing course, making the step into Senior racing more comfortable.
Dinghy Hire Requirements
Skippers are required to have a basic level of sailing experience to launch, tack, gybe, capsize, and sail all points of sail (upwind, downwind, reach) unsupervised in a maximum of 15 knots of wind.
Life jackets are provided, but all sailors and guests must be confident in the water and able to swim 50 metres.
Non-members will be required to join the Club if they wish to continue past 4 sessions.
