Bound for Mordi

Bon voyage to our WA Sharpies sailors representing the Club at the 80th Sharpie Nationals. The event will take place at the Mordialloc Sailing Club from 29 December 2023 through to 6 January 2024. With Sharpies sailors from right across Australia expected to attend.

Attending from MBSC are Graham Keys (who claims to be doing a farewell tour) on Vicious, Peter Chappell sailing the Lizard and Craig Mann on Atomic Blonde. With seven National titles between them we have a very strong team. Best of luck guys!

And don’t forget, the WA Sharpies Valentines Cup will be taking place at our Club on 11 February 2024. A fantastic opportunity for women skippers to showcase their skills in invitational short course racing.

A big month for events

Leading up to Christmas means the Club lawn is in high demand. This month we had large and enormous corporate events, a wake, birthday parties, fundraisers and even Santa came to visit.

Our beloved Bar Manager Maddie is leaving us. Maddie has finished her studies and is starting a full-time position at Royal Perth Hospital.

We wish her every success in her new job. From everyone at the Club, thank you for serving us Maddie!

If your watercraft remains unidentified by 20 September 2024 the Club may take action to dispose of it.

Sunday sailing is fun for all levels

Our Sunday sailing sessions are a wonderful opportunity to unwind, connect with fellow sailors, and enjoy the beauty of the water. If you are new to sailing, don’t worry! Experienced sailors and instructors will be on hand to provide guidance, tips and support as you navigate the waters. Click here to register today.

Please let James know if you are free to help Chef Manny and Jack serve up yummy food for hungry sailors – bacon and egg rolls, burgers, chips, hot and cold drinks.
