Sunday Wrap-up

Sponsored by our newest club sponsor, YHB Group via pen member Mark Anderson, easterly breezes made for some variable and shifty conditions at our Short Race Series on our Sunday Sailing this weekend. We were joined by the 125 fleet who have created interest in the Sharpie enthusiasts joining them in their states being held over Easter at Nedlands. The members cheered Lily Davidson on as she collected her 1st ever first place pennant by taking part in the Short Race Series with the seniors. L&D kicking huge goals on our lawns and providing pathways into the future means we also launched a new club rib to resource this important aspect of our club. Putin made a mention as part of presentations thanks to Bjorn Hauge after claiming 1st place in the Windsurfer fleet. A great day at the Bay with the class winners enjoying a $50 bar card awarded to each!

Enjoy the upcoming long weekend champs and best of luck for all those competing in the windsurfing states being hosted by us this weekend.

Goodluck Rollo, Payno and Parko!

Very proud of the WA boys and wishing them great on water performances for the regatta being held 5th -13th March in Sydney!

With a rich and long history at Mounts Bay Sailing Club Grant Rollerson, we are triple pleased to see you teaming up with crew members Luke Parkinson and Luke Payne as WA representatives!!!

Luke has sailed Flying Ants, 29ers and 49ers from the Bay and also at Fremantle Sailing Club. We are sure the WA Sharpie association and East Fremantle Yacht club share our pride as Luke Payne commenced his junior years from their shores. The history books do confirm him being the junior dash for cash Sharpie winner held at MBSC many years ago at the age of 15.

Best of luck Rollo, Payno and Parko. See you all back at the Bay to tell us the off water stories
We will be live streaming the races for members to cheer you on back over here in the West!

Sponsor Spotlight – YHB Group

Mounts Bay Sailing Club would like to extend a massive welcome and thankyou to our newest club sponsor: YHB Group!

YHB Group’s focus is to deliver quality built homes and service you can rely on. Their team shares many years of experience within the building industry, and ensure their combined experience is used to deliver the best possible product for you.

As their name suggests it’s all about you, they understand it’s your home. When you build with them they work hard to ensure that you have a positive and stress free experience, they even provide knowledgeable consultants in conjunction with their Supplier Partner’s selection centres making the selection of materials and products for your home much easier. All of their building supervisors and builders must have at least 5 years industry experience, they won’t let anyone unlicensed build your home. Plus combing with their suppliers using the latest products and quality controlled building methods ensures your home has a quality finish.

Important Member Notice

Unfortunately the club has recently had some Sump Oil dumped on the battery recycling point at our onsite station. This will be time consuming to remove because it has to be taken to special collection points.

All members are reminded that these facilities are managed by volunteers and to take care when leaving behind waste. Please note that the club does not currently have a location to leave Sump oil and must be taken off premises.

At MBSC we provide an extensive range of learn to sail courses for both juniors and adults in an inclusive and fun environment.
