IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL PEN & MOORING HOLDERS & ALL MEMBERS
Do not access or moor your vessel on the “T” section
at the end of the pen jetty.
IT IS IN IMMINENT DANGER OF COLLAPSING
Recent pen inspections have uncovered further evidence of deterioration of the steel head stocks supporting this jetty section. It is now at a stage of becoming extremely dangerous to use this jetty.
Negotiations and quotes to repair/replace the section have been sought over the last two years, however, the Club should have an acceptable quote by the end of March with work commencing soon after. The Pen committee will also attempt some remedial work to stabilise the problem.
Meanwhile, we ask all Club members and Pen Holders to respect our request to not enter the area shown on the plan below as you will enter at your own risk.
Warning signs and safety tape will be placed around the area in the next few days.
