NORMA S
It was a great pleasure to be a witness to the renaming and christening of the clubs new start boat – Norma S
What a fantastic honor to a dedicated life member who has given so much to the club over many years of service and involvement.
May the memories continue and the legacy live long!

REUNION DAY
Formerly known as Veterans Day, past and present members, life members and dedicated participants of Mounts Bay Sailing Club enjoyed an afternoon tea under the Big Top on Sunday.
A fabulous afternoon of reminiscing and sharing tall tales and fond memories of days gone by.
A huge thank you to Greg Jennings for all your hard work in preparing the clubs memorabilia to showcase our history.
The management team should be congratulated for their tireless efforts.
Sailors raced for the Lyall Gerring Memorial Trophy.
Due to boats traveling for National championships there was only a select group of competitors, none the less an enjoyable afternoon of racing for Silver was had by all.

WELCOME BACK SHACK’S!
We would like to thank Jonathon and Perter Shack for their attendance on behalf of their Grandfather Andy Shack and father Don Shack who were both long servicing and tireless members of the club.
Andy presented his fathers life membership pin along with two perpetual trophies back to the club.
It was wonderful reminiscing about the memories and the important parts of the Mounts Bay history the Shack family played.
We look forward to seeing you both again soon.

THE EVENT THAT WAS
A big thank you for all of our members support of the Club operations over last weekend.
The events held gave the club a fantastic opportunity to showcase off our venue to a wide section of the general public that attended as part of the corporate Christmas parties held.
As an additional extra the funds secured in undertaking these events under the arrangement were very financially viable for the club as we prepare to upgrade our infrastructure to be accessibility friendly across our site.

This Sunday all classes are racing for:
Short Course Series
Racing starts at 2pm.

The duty fleets for this Sunday –  Sharpies
Thanks for your help team!

Mounts Bay Sailing Club is very proud to be represented by Lucas and Finley in the Open Skiff State Championships and the IRC regatta at Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club on the weekend.
Well done guys on a great achievement!
We wish you all the best for the Nationals in January.
It would be fantastic to see some of out other Juniors participating in these regattas.

It was a great regatta at RFBYC for the ICR and Bic states.
The wind was fit for all with light to medium in the morning of day one with heavy in the afternoon.
The second day brought light winds in morning and afternoon.
Representing MBSC at ICR was Finley and I, we came 8th and 9th out of 19 boats.
Congratulations to the new state champion Murray Duthie and all the other competitors.
The next regatta for us is the Bic nationals at SOPYC in January.
Part of the regatta experience is also a Green Fleet which is a great way to start your racing confidence.
