This Saturday and Sunday, the 2021/22 sharpie states are being hosted at our club! We are super excited to be hosting another exciting and fun regatta together and look forward to welcoming all sailors down at the bay. For all those wanting to come on down to the bay and watch the race take place, the Mounts Bay Bar will be open from 12pm-Late on both days and the canteen will be serving breakfast and coffee from 7am!!

The club is currently undergoing a clean-up of the club grounds! We have identified a number of unregistered crafts and items. If you are the owner of any of the above pictured items please contact the office or remove from the grounds as soon as possible. Please note, any unclaimed items by the end of February 2022 will be removed from the club grounds under the discretion of the club management committee.

Flashback Friday – Celebrating 125 Years

The photo is of Peter Chappell, on left of photo, with his crew: Peter Nicholas and Luke Payne after they had won the 2020 Sharpie Australian Championship.This race showed that Peter is one of MBSC’s best ever sailors. He first won the Sharpie Australian Championship in 1988, after placing second in the previous year. Overall he is a six time Australian Champion in the Sharpie Class. He has also has success in other classes which shows his sailing versatility. You can see some great action photos of his Sharpies in the Clubhouse. Well done Peter and all your crews.
