Situated on the Banks of the Swan River, just fifteen minutes from Perth CBD - Mounts Bay Sailing Club is a uniquely beautiful venue for a wedding, combining a stunning waterfront location with privacy and tranquility.
Our Club and Riverside Lawn are fully licenced until 12.00am, so whether you opt for a marquee lawn wedding or an elegant function room reception you can rest assured the party can continue until the early hours of the morning while our professional and very capable bar team look after your needs.
Exclusive venue hire
At Mounts Bay Sailing Club we hire our venue spaces out by
level. Therefore, whilst we never allow more than one function on the same level we may have a situation where there are two functions happening on opposing levels. i.e. the Riverside Lawn and Kilburn Hall. In this scenario we put measures in place to
manage both functions separately and keep disruptions to a minimum for each client.
However, some clients prefer to exclusively hire the whole venue instead, which gives them free reign over the entire property and facilities. It also provides the peace of mind that only their guests will be at the venue on their special day. This option often works very well for large weddings where more than one space is needed. Some couples choose to to have their pre-dinner drinks enjoying the views from the balcony, or use our function rooms as ‘chill-out’ and changing rooms for immediate family. Others, spread out on the Riverside Lawn and have their reception underneath the stars.

The Club’s lush green Riverside Lawn provides the perfect location for a completely serene and beautiful waterside Ceremony, offering a spectacular setting for your wedding photos.
Our Riverside Lawn is also only a 3 minute drive from the popular Matilda Bay, which is often used for ceremonies and receptions. Unlike Matilda Bay though, our lawn provides you with complete privacy so there is never any danger of the public interrupting your special moment. We are also a fully equipped function venue so once you’ve said your ‘I do’s’ you can relax and let us take care of the rest along with your vendors.
